Sharon Bushman Photography Blog » Bethesda Fountain http://sharonbushmanblog.com Sharon Bushman - New York City Proposal and Wedding Photographer Sun, 19 Jun 2016 00:42:09 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=3.9.40 chris + frances – central park wedding, nyc http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=321 http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=321#comments Sat, 25 Jun 2011 00:17:27 +0000 http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=321 I walked into the room where Frances was getting ready at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel and immediately knew this was going to be a good day.  Frances was calm, sweet and funny and her sister and niece were equally as charming!  Running  just a teensy bit late (just as every good bride should!) we thought we’d get a cab uptown the few blocks to get closer to the ceremony location at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park.  Well, that was a bad idea.  Not sure what I was thinking, what with the standstill traffic and infuriating one way streets.  We quickly hopped out of the cab and traveled on foot and got there in no time.  Chris and Frances traveled all the way from Canada to get married and the ceremony was beautiful.  Once again, I was working with the excellent team at I Do New York, and everything went off without a hitch.   Oh, and just a little side note, the beautiful bouquets…they made them!!  I was SO impressed!

Frances and Chris, I wish I had more than 2 hours to spend with you!  You were just a pleasure to be around.  I hope you’re both enjoying life in Canada as husband and wife!

]]> http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?feed=rss2&p=321 4 brian + brooks – wedding in central park, nyc http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=189 http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=189#comments Sat, 07 May 2011 18:11:41 +0000 http://sharonbushmanblog.com/?p=189 As is the custom in April, rain threatened to make their dreams of an outdoor wedding in Central Park very difficult.  In the end, it all went our way and the weather cooperated for Brian and Brooks who had traveled from South Carolina to tie the knot NYC style.  What a complete and utter joy it was to photograph this wedding.  Brooks, you never stopped making me laugh all day.  From the minute I met you in the lobby and you said, “Oh my gosh, look at my hair!  I look like Little Bo Peep! What am I going to do?!”  You kept your cool and quickly (seriously, like 5 minutes) went from Bo Peep to stunning gorgeousness.  You and Brian are not only a great couple, but also great parents with the coolest kids ever!  I watched your family and thought, now THIS is how it’s supposed to be.

I’m so happy to have been your photographer.  Thank you for making my job so darn easy :-)  I hope you both had a fantastic time in Jamaica and I’ll look forward to a trip to Myrtle Beach someday to say “hello”!
