dave + lindsay – surprise proposal in Central Park, NYC

When Dave contacted me and told me he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Lindsay while on a row boat in Central Park, I was hesitant at first.  At the time, I had never done a boat proposal before, but had just had another inquiry from a different man asking for the same thing!  Seemed like this was my chance to get my fear of boat proposals behind me and just do it.   I just made sure he understood where to “park” the boat when he was going to propose and it ended up being more perfect than I could have imagined!!

As was the case this entire summer, the rain threatened all day, but we got away with just a few sprinkles.  Yay!

Dave and Lindsay, I hope you are enjoying your life as fiance’s in Ottawa, Canada.   Thank you for trusting me to be a part of this important moment!  I had a great time!

Here are some of my favorites from the day.  If you CLICK HERE you will see their awesome slideshow!

I was afraid she spotted me at that point…she didn’t.  He did though!

I LOVE her reaction.  I also love that the boat floated right towards me so that I could get such great close-up shots!

Linda - Beautiful shots of such a wonderfully, romantic moment for this couple.
I would have never guessed you had any doubts about a “boat proposal”. Lovely pics!!

Martrese - LOVE the rowboat idea – these came out beautifully! Of course, getting the iconic yellow NYC taxis in a few shots is always good. ;)

roberto + livia – wedding in Conservatory Gardens, Central Park

Roberto and Livia are from Brazil!  They’re enthusiastic, gorgeous, fun, and SO in love.  I had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with them and their family and friends!   I worked with the lovely crew at I Do New York on this wedding and, as always, it went off perfectly.  The ceremony was held in the Conservatory Gardens in Central Park and then we all piled into a bus and headed to their reception at Astra.  Such a cool venue with a great view!

Since their wedding, they’ve set up home in Philadelphia since Roberto was admitted to the PhD program at the University of Pennsylvania! Yay!

I hope you’re both enjoying your life as husband and wife in the USA!

Here are a whole bunch of my favorites from the day!  CLICK HERE FOR THE SLIDESHOW!  It’s for the best…trust me!

Keeping the groom from running! ha!

Livia sees her Dad as she arrives at the park.

erik + stephanie – wedding at maritime parc, new jersey

I LOVED shooting this wedding at the gorgeous Maritime Parc in New Jersey.  Erik and Stephanie are just the nicest couple you’d ever want to meet.  They had every right to be stressed beyond words at the weather situation that unfolded on their wedding day in June.  It was storm-a-rific.  The ceremony was supposed to be held outdoors, but in the end, the storms were too unpredictable so it was moved inside.  We also had planned a first look and every time we got ready to go outside, it would start to rain.  Finally we managed to sneak one in only to have it start raining about 5 minutes later!  Not ONCE did it seem to phase Stephanie or Erik.  They were just so excited to get married, they didn’t have any cares other than seeing each other at the end of the aisle.  And isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be?

At the end of the night I didn’t want to leave the dance floor!  Their friends and family were such a blast and I felt like a guest rather than just a photographer.

Thank you both for reminding me how much I love what I do.

Here are some (tons) of my favorites from the day.  And, as always, CLICK HERE FOR THE SLIDESHOW!  It’s just chock full of love and fun!

Just gorgeous

That storm I spoke of…. Yeah, that’s it below.

The first look

It started to rain again right after we took this shot

That sky made me SO happy!

And then, as if to apologize for putting the ceremony indoors, Mother Nature gave us a rainbow!

It attracted quite a crowd of paparazzi!
