Jeremy + Mercedes – Wedding in Central Park, NYC

Jeremy and Mercedes were married at the very North end of Central Park by the Harlem Meer.   I had the pleasure of working with the gals at I Do New York once again and, as always, it went perfectly.  It was a scorching day at the end of May, but Mercedes and Jeremy looked like a million bucks!  I, on the other hand, looked like a sweaty mess at the end of the two hours!  They didn’t hold it against me though thank goodness!  They were so in love and a real joy to photograph.  They’ll be heading to Peru for another ceremony and celebration in just a few days.  Until then, enjoy a few of my favorite photos from the day!

Michael + Sarah – Surprise Proposal in Central Park, NYC

Michael and Sarah hopped in their car and headed to NYC from Ontario, Canada.  Perhaps Sarah may have had an idea that a proposal was imminent, but she was completely surprised that Mike had hired me to capture that memory for them.  Mike chose the rocky hill overlooking Wollman Rink for his proposal.  It’s a favorite spot of mine, and one that I take nearly every couple to when in that area.  I love those parts of Central Park that remind you that you’re actually in a big city with skyscrapers.  It’s the best of both worlds.

Mike and Sarah, you’re an awesome couple.  You made my job a piece of cake!  I’m so glad that I could be a part of this important day in your lives.

Sam + Kiri – Wedding in Central Park : Conservatory Gardens

Sam and Kiri came to NYC all the way from Australia to tie the knot on a beautiful day in May.  They had been to New York on vacation together and both decided that when they got married they wanted it to be here in the Big Apple.  They chose the gorgeous Conservatory Gardens in Central Park for their ceremony.  We stopped briefly at the Plaza Hotel where they were staying (SO swanky and beautiful!) to freshen up and snap a few photos.  Then it was back into the park for a few more shots before they left me to enjoy dinner at the Boathouse restaurant.

I had SUCH a great time with you both.  I hope you are happily enjoying married life down under!

Kiri - Sharon, you were the most amazing photographer we could have ever hoped to have cover our wedding day. You captured each moment perfectly and played a major role for our treasured day. Even now almost a year and a half after our amazing day I look back on each of these photogtaphs and smile. Thank you for everything. Kiri & Sam xo
